SAND - WASHED

Washed Sand is a material that is cleaned and crushed to a 5mm grit. It is commonly referred to as concrete sand. The City of Lethbridge used this type of material for all of the sandboxes in the City Parks. The primary uses for washed sand are: for making concrete, sandboxes, bedding paving stones and for use in livestock compounds (such as riding arenas or pig barns).
